I was approached by the agency MABL in 2023 to help create a series of paid media advertisements for their client, SmartSoda.
SmartSoda is a company that is transitioning from a business-to-business (B2B) model to a business-to-consumer (B2C) model. Currently, their main product is a standalone beverage dispenser called the JuLi, which is designed for workplaces. However, they are now working on developing a range of packaged beverages for the consumer market.
In this particular project, I was responsible for providing design, 3-D animation, motion graphics, and video editorial services for the reintroduction of the JuLi product.
The Pitch
The initial brief focused on a brand campaign, and I was tasked with creating visual approaches that could effectively showcase performance-oriented assets while reinforcing the desired brand attributes. These approaches needed to align with the overall campaign idea.
Imagery - Round 1
Using AI visualization tool Midjourney, I was able to quickly create imagery that could be precisely targeted to the demographic verticals we needed to reach with the campaign.
Imagery - Round 2
As we pushed into an additional round of image-sourcing, I was again able to leverage Midjourney to spin a potentially endless series of image references. The speed and specificity with which I was able to do so would have been prohibitive using traditional stock image sources.

Once we agreed on a visual direction, I created a series of animatics for the core treatments.
